Data Deletion Request

This page explains how you can request deletion of data associated with the Travel Delta app, published by Benedikt Schreiner.

1. Data stored only on your device

Most app data (selected countries, saved routes, preferences, cached travel data) is stored exclusively on your device. This data is automatically and permanently deleted the moment you uninstall the app — no request is needed.

2. Data stored on our server

The only data that leaves your device is a randomly generated, anonymous device identifier, used solely to attribute referral codes (our “invite a friend” feature). This identifier is stored in our backend (Supabase). No name, email address, or other personal data is attached to it.

3. How to request deletion

In the app (recommended): Open Settings → About → Delete my data. This immediately and permanently deletes the server-side identifier described above, with no waiting period.

By email (if you no longer have the app installed): Send an email to support@schreiner-apps.de with the subject “Data Deletion Request”, including your device identifier if you still have it. We will locate and delete the associated record; you will receive a confirmation within 30 days.

We may keep minimal information for a short period after deletion (e.g. to prevent abuse of the referral system), but no longer than 30 days after your request, unless a longer retention is required by law.

If you already uninstalled the app without noting your device identifier: Since the identifier was never linked to your name, email address, or any other personal information, we have no way to locate which specific record was yours. In this case, no manual deletion is possible — but you don’t need to worry: this data is automatically and permanently deleted no later than 180 days after it was created, regardless of whether a request is made.

4. Data we do not retain

We do not use analytics, tracking, or advertising SDKs, so no usage profile or behavioral data exists to delete beyond what is described above.
